This landscape showing Italian influence adds to the range of the Gallery's important 17th century Netherlandish displays. It was researched for the Gallery's Old Masters catalogue, 'Medieval to Regency' (2002).
Work required
Conservation is needed to prevent flaking of the paint in areas where it has developed age cracks and to remove over-painting that was badly applied in the past.
