The equestrian statue of King William III ('King Billy') stands in the centre of the road, with a lamp at each corner, and Varley's Cross Keys Hotel appears to the right. On the left hand side are the premises of Mr. Turner Cycle Accessories and Ironmonger at No. 43 and to the north is R.C. Bird, City Jeweller, and Davis's Carpet and Furniture Showrooms. The department store of Edwin Davis & Co. Limited sits at the end of the row adjacent to Holy Trinity Church.
