- Skull of a Minke Whale Balaenoptera acutorostrata (Lacepede), found dead on the shore of Broomfleet Island, East Yorkshire (at approximately SE 8926), vice-county 61. Skull only, lacking mandible, and with a chipped snout. The whale, when entire, measured approximately 17 feet in length, and was washed ashore at Broomfleet on 6th - 8th May 1985, and was probably the same specimen reported ashore at Goole Fields a few days before. Associated with specimens KINCM:1987.291, 292 and 293. The specimen is cited.
