- Theatre bill from the Theatre Royal, Hull, for Tuesday 11th December 1821, an evening for the benefit of Mr. and Mrs. Rayner, under the 'patronage of the Gentlemen of the Holderness Hunt'. It will begin with a three-act play called 'Zorinski; or, The Fate of Poland'. Mr. Wilders is billed to play the part of Zarno, but a handwritten note states that the part was 'read by Mr. Hammond'. This will be followed by an epilogue, 'spoken by Mr Rayner, Riding on an Ass in the Character of a Modern Dandy', and a farce entitled 'The Hunter of the Alps'. Mr. Yarnold will deliver 'The Lads of the Chase', Miss Johnson will sing 'The last Rose' and 'Oh! pity pauvre Genevieve' and Mr. Raynor will sing a new song called 'Peter Pott's Peep at the Coronation'. During this he will 'take a Peep at King William, the Steam Packets, the Docks, the Ship Yards, Sailors, the Greenland Fishery, the Theatre, and himself'. The evening will conclude with 'Catch Him Who Can! or, The Pass of Fontarabia' which will star Mr. Rayner impersonating seven different characters. It will also include a new comic dance by Mr. Dore. Tickets can be obtained from Mr. Rayner, 'at Mr. Drant's, Hair-dresser, Myton-gate' and Mr. Hope at the theatre. The theatre bill was printed by Thomas Topping, Lowgate, Hull.
