- Postcard with a black and white photograph advertising the exhibition of 'The Giant Whale - Jonas' (or 'Jonah'). The image shows the whale's mouth, propped open to show the baleen plates and with the different parts labelled. There are two harpoons beside it. The whale was captured off Trondheim, Norway, in 1952. It was preserved with formalin and toured around Europe, visiting Hull in 1954. The reverse of the postcard has text in German that reads 'Riesen - Wal Jonas, gefangen bei Trondheim (Norwegen)', 'Giant Whale - Jonas, captured near Trondheim, Norway'.
