- Insurance policy, dated 14th June 1820, taken out by the agents Caius Thompson & Co., for the whaling ship 'Kiero' on a voyage to the Greenland Seas and Davis' Straits under Captain Glenton. The ship has 'leave to call at the Orkney and Shetland Islands'. The value of any catch, including blubber, fins and seal skins, is specified within the document. Handwritten notes at the bottom show that the amount of 600 pounds was split between four people.
