- Issue No. 74, Volume II, of the 'Monthly Supplement of The Penny Magazine Of The Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge', published for 30th April - 31st May 1833. It has an article entitled 'The Whale Fishery', with an engraving at the beginning of men hunting a whale in a small boat with the caption 'Harpooning the Whale in the Arctic Sea'. The text of the article is largely taken from the writings of William Scoresby.
