- Two publications on Arctic exploration bound together within plain brown leather-covered boards with a label on the spine that reads 'Lyon's Manby's Voyages'. The first has the title 'A Brief Narrative of an Unsuccessful Attempt to reach Repulse Bay through Sir Thomas Rowe's 'Welcome', in His Majesty's Ship Griper in the year MDCCCXXIV' by Captain G.F. Lyon, R.N., published by John Murray, Albemarle Street, London, in 1825. The frontispiece has a fold-out map entitled 'Chart of Hudson's Strait & Sir Thos. Rowe's Welcome'. The second publication has the title 'Journal of a Voyage To Greenland in the Year 1821' and was written by George William Manby. It was printed for G. and W.R. Whittaker in Ave-Maria Lane, London, in 1822. An owner's label attached to the inside of the front cover is printed with the name 'John Suddaby, Hull'. The label covers a handwritten name and address. There are no handwritten annotations within the text. Some of the pages have the 'Wilberforce Museum, Hull' circular stamp.
