Brief Description:
Photographic negative with an image of steam vessels taking on coal in a Hull dock. The large vessel at the quayside is the SS Helder. Built at Amsterdam in 1897, she was renamed Arctic Prince and used in a joint venture between Hellyer Brothers of Hull and Engvald Baldersheim of Trondheim, Norway, to fish for halibut off Greenland using hand lines from small boats. The photograph was taken by Harry Cartlidge in 1926.
