- Photographic negative with a black and white image of Major Cotton's Arctic Plane (Registration I-AAPI) crated on top of a lorry, arriving at Albert Dock, Hull, in 1931. The aircraft was acquired by Samuel Courtauld in an attempt to locate his son, August, 'missing' in Greenland during the British Arctic Air Route Expedition. Sidney Cotton, a pioneer of photoreconnaissance, was commissioned to act as pilot. The photograph was taken by Harry Cartlidge.
