Dockscene looking from the south side of Queen's Dock towards Wilberforce Monument. Queen's Dock was opened in 1778 but filled in and re-opened as Queen's Gardens in 1935. The tower of St John's Church is visible in the centre background. This church was built by evangelical Christian Thomas Dykes (1761-1847) and consecrated in 1791, the site from 1929 of the Ferens Art Gallery. Ink and wash on paper. Signed bottom right corner.
