- Newspaper reproduction of a sketch of the High Street by Frederick Schultz Smith (1860-1925), about 1885. The view, looking south, down High Street, has the jettied, half-timbered facade of the King's Head Inn on the right. A woman and child are standing in the entrance beneath the carved timbers. There are two carts in the street. A gas lamp projects from the wall of the building in the left foreground.
