- Great Thornton Street Chapel, drawn by Frederick Schultz Smith (1860-1925), 1886. Streetscene depicting various buildings including Great Thornton Street Chapel in the centre. It was built in 1842 in a 'Classical' revival style with a pediment and row of ornate columns across the front. The Wesleyian Methodist chapel is seen here from the corner of Adelaide Street.There are two pedestrians conversing in front of the railings. Ink and wash on paper. Signed and dated bottom right corner.
