- Lowgate and St Mary's Church from a drawing by Fredeirck Schultz Smith (1860-1925), about 1900. Photo engraving by William Fussey published in a book or magazine. The Post Office building stands in the right foreground with the Hull Banking Company building visible further down the street on the left at the junction with Silver Street. The tower of St Mary's Church is visible in the background. The pavements are busy with pedestrians and the road busy with horse drawn buildings. Lowgate has two sets of tram lines.
