- Ink an wash drawing of the entrance to the Old Harbour and the River Hull by Frederick Schultz Smith (1860-1925), about 1890. Looking from the Victoria Pier this shows the entrance to the Old Harbour on the River Hull, with a large four-floor building on left, the 'Vittoria' hotel. The pier has three horse-drawn carts on it, with barrrels on the 'Horsewash' slipway and eight pedestrians. The dry dock of the Hulll Central Dry Dock and Engineering Works Ltd is visible in the background, together with the No1 Wilbeforce Warehouse building of William Gilyott & Co Limited. The tower of St Peter's church can be seen in the distance on the skyline. Signed bottom left. Mounted and framed in a wooden glazed frame, not contemporary.
