- Chariot Street looking south from Medley Street, drawn by Frederick Schultz Smith (1860-1925), 1900. W H Smith Tobacconist's shop stands on the corner of Medley Street in the left foreground. Further down are Samual Hayes' tripe shop next to Benjamin Barbour's confectioners. In the background towers the large chimney of the electricity generating station for the electric tram system, in Osborrne Street. The street is busy with pedestrians and carts. In the centre of the cobbled street a woman rides a bicycle. Ink and wash on paper. Signed and dated bottom left.
