- Drawing of the Market Hall, Queen Street, Hull, by Frederick Schultz Smith (1860-1925), 1888. It shows the New Market Hall, built in 1887 on the site of the old Butchers Shambles. The Flemish Renaissance style building is shown from the south-west. There are smartly-dressed pedestrians on the pavement outside and a horse and cart waiting by the curb. The drawing is signed and dated in the bottom right corner. Ink and wash on paper, mounted on card with curved top corners.
