- Drawing of Kingston Terrace on Beverley Road in Hull, by Frederick Schultz Smith (1860-1925), about 1885. It shows a large three-storey buildin, partly obscured behind a tree. Four gateposts and railings in the foreground seperate the terrace from the road. A woman and young girl walk past on the pavement in the foreground. There is also a woman walking down KingstonTerrace in the distance. Only four of a proposed twelve houses were built on this site by architect Henry F Lockwood in 1841: a large house with garden facing Beverley Road and three adjoining terraced houses facing south across an even larger garden. The houses were demolished in 1889 to make way for the Brunswick Avenue Board School nad the Brunswick Arcade shops. Ink and wash on paper, mounted on cardboard. signed bottom left corner.
