Drawing of the Dock Offices and Wilberforce Monument in Hull, by Frederick Schultz Smith (1860-1925),1889. Monument Bridge is in the foreground and two men are seated on a block.The Dock Offices building stands beyond the bridge with its three distinctive domes. A clock on the middle dome displays the time 2.35. Wilberforce Monument is on the left, with 'Wilberforce' written on the column base. Two men sit in the foreground, by the distinctive cuved housing for the mechanism to raise and lower the bridge. Ink and wash on paper and mounted on board. Signed and dated bottom left. Printed label on reverse reads 'Wholesale Picture Frame Works / Wright's / Contractors to the Hull Corporation / 43 Derringham Street, Hull'.
