- Amateur painting of whalers in the Arctic with a portside profile view of a three masted whaler in full sail at the centre with red pennant with white spot on the mizzen mast and Merchant Navy ensign, whale boats fixed to the stern deck sides and other whale boats with crews in the foreground, with a harpooned whale in the foreground to the right of a whale boat crew with ice floes on each side and a polar bear standing on the right. A steam whaler with three masts is anchored at the far left and two other whalers can be seen on the right with icebergs standing in the background on the horizon. Two whale boats at the middle right with Blue Peter flags flying from the stern ends.
