- Oil on canvas, copy after J Ward's 'WILLIAM LEE in the Arctic'. The centre is a portside view of the 'Lee', On the right side there is a stern view of the 'Lee' and on the left there is a bow view. On the centre view the sails are partly up, there is red pennant on the main mast, at the hull side there are sailors flensing and they are loading the blubber on to the decks. Icebergs on the horizon and whaleboats are in the foreground with harpooned whales, to the right there is a polar bear, you can also see a whales tail on the right with a whale boat folowing. On the right there are also crew approaching the polar bear.
