- Oil on canvas of Sperm whale fishing painted in a naive style, showing two three-masted whaleships, one with flensing in progress. Whale hunting in foreground, Sperm whale spouting blood, another with a whaleboat in its jaws, the crew is falling into the water from the boat. Starboard view of whaler on the left, there is a whale carcass tied to the stern, there is a St. George flag on the main mast. In the centre there is a line of whaleboats harpooning a whale in the centre, on the right horizon there is a portside view of a whaler with a red pennant on the main mast and a Merchant Navy ensign.
