- 'William Lee' in the Arctic', by John Ward I (1798-1849), about 1820. Shows the whaller 'WILLIAM LEE' in the Arctic in three postions, with two whale boats towing a dead whale. Front boat is inscribed 'Richd Hill' on the gunwhale. The boats have the initial 'T' in gothic character on the bow. Oil on canvas. Flat profile glazed frame with incised decoration and a gilded finish.
