Brief Description:
Walrus tusk, decorated on both sides with many pictures. Starting from the base, one side has: A Greek warrior pulling a broken spear from his thigh; A kneeling boy with his right hand resting on the back of a large dog, signed bottom left 'F. Beaudoin'; A trophy of a fouled anchor with a pile of cannon balls, beneath axes, spears, cannon balls, a trophy of flags including the British and American flags and another with a five pointed star; An eagle holding a branch; A standing figure of Napoleon holding despatches in his left hand, with his right hand behind his back and a small wood fire alongside. On the other side from the base upwards are: Flowers including chrysanthemums; A bird standing on a rock; The port profile of a full rigged ship flying a pennant inscribed 'AUSTRALIE' at the mizzen, a flag with the Maltese cross at the main mast and a swallow-tailed flag at the fore with alternate dark and light horizontal stripes;
