- Manuscript notes, entitled 'The Centenarian Barque True Love', with extracts from Philadelphia newspapers describing the Hull ship 'Truelove'. The first is from The Philadelphia Inquirer of 22nd September 1873. and reports on the visit of the ship, commanded by Captain Thomas 'Wetherill' (Weatherill), with a cargo of resin and turpentine. An introduction reads 'The following extracts, from Philadelphia papers of last month (September 1873), will be read with interest in Hull by everybody who knew the old ship True Love'. Further extracts from Hull newspapers from October and November 1873 report on the return of the ship to Hull and describe the flag, which had been presented to Captain Weatherill at Philadelphia, which was flying from the main mast when the ship entered Humber Dock.
