Brief Description:
Engraving of a portrait of Sir Orlando Bridgeman (c. 1606-1674), Lord Keeper. He is shown half-length in an oval frame. He is facing left but looking at the viewer. He has long hair and is wearing a skull cap, jacket and lace collar. There is a curtain behind and a coat of arms to the left. The text below reads 'Sir Orlando Bridgeman, Lord Keeper, From a picture at Chirkcastle'. The image was drawn by Joseph Allen (from the original picture) and engraved by William Bond. It was published on August 1st 1798 by Philip Yorke of Wrexham. It appeared as an illustration in Yorke's 'The Royal Tribes of Wales'.
