- Unfinished pencil sketch of Jameson Street looking west towards Paragon Station from King Edward Street, Hull, by Frederick Schultz Smith (1860-1925), about 1916. King Edward Street runs from left to right across Jameson Street. Jameson Street was named after Robert Jameson, timber merchant and Lord Mayor of Hull from 1870 to 1873. He was a major figure in the rebuilding and expannsion of the city centre, reflecting the growth of the city and the need to widen streets to ease congestion. Streetscene depicting business premises on Jameson Street with a statue on a plinth in the centre of a crossroads. Pencil on paper.
