- St Mary's Church, Lowgate, drawn by Frederick Schultz Smith (1860-1925), about 1885. The church was renovated in 1861, the tower embellished, heightened and pierced with an archway for a footpath to ease congestion on Lowgate. A Hansom cab can be seen in the cobbled street on the left. A drinking fountain with a Gothic canopy, designed by Gilbert Scott and donated by Richard Sykes in 1864, can be seen on the corner of the churchyard wall. Ink and wash on paper. Signed bottom left corner.
