- George Yard from High Street drawn by Frederrick Schultz Smith (1860-1925), about 1916. Scene looking up the narrow George Yard west towards Lowgate, with the tower of the new Guildhall visible in the background. The alley has beams bracing between the buildings on either side. There are two women in shawls walking up the alley one stood by a horse and cart. Ink and wash on paper. Signed bottom left.The reverse has a pencil sketch of the same scene.
