- Bishop Lane looking west towards Lowgate, drawn by Frederick Schultz Smith (1860-1925), about 1885. View down a narrow lane with a slender lampost at the far end. Bishop Lane and Bowlalley Lane originally formed one street called Bishopgate.The figure of Britannia on the top of the Exchange building at the corner of Bowlalley Lane can be seen in the distance. Ink and wash on paper.
