- The Birth Room, Wilberforce House, drawn by Frederick Schultz Smith (1860-1925), 1887. The room shown is traditionally said to be where the reformer William Wilberforce ( 1759-1833) . The small room has a large desk and a chair by the window, a fire place on the right. In 1887 Wilberforce House was being used as offices for several businesses, including seed-crushers and corn merchants. Ink and wash on paper. Signed and dated bottom left corner.
