- Brief Description:
- North Bridge from Wade's Offices, drawn by Frederick Schultz Smith (1860-1925), about 1882. Wade's Offices probably refers to the premises of timber merchants Richard Wade Sons & Co in Garrison Side. The bridge across the River Hull shown here was replaced in 1931. To the left of the bridge is a ship in the dry dock owned by William Sanders. A single-masted vessel sailing is visible the other side of the bridge, with warehousing and mills lining the river in the background. Ink on paper. Signed bottom left.
