Brief Description:
Spyvee Street Bridge over Sutton Drain drawn by Frederick Schultz smith (1860-1925), about 1885. Drawing of the Spyvee Street bridge, a stone and cast iron bridge, across the Sutton Drain. On the far side of the bridge is the terraced housing of Spyvee Street. In the centre background is the Subscription Corn Mill in Dansom Lane, a five-sail ogee windmill. The Spyvee family were ropermakers amd owned property in Drypool in the 18th and 19th centuries. Spyvee Street was built about 1873 on the former site of a ropery. Ink and wash on paper. Signed bottom left corner.
