- Pen and ink drawing that depicts the coastal landscape at Kilnsea by Frederick Schultz Smith (1860-1925), 1894. Three figures are visible in the foreground amongst the sand dunes. A small boat is drawen up on the shoreline with a masted sailing vessel visible on the horizon. The drawing is signed and dated by the artist at the lower left corner. Says in pencil on back 'Kilnsea / st of old submerged church'. The hamlet of Kilnsea stands almost on the very tip of Spurn Head. Always prone to errosion Kilnsea's church fell into the sea in 1831.
