- Pencil drawing of George Street from Savile Street, Hull by Frederick Schultz Smith (1860-1925), 1883. Shows the Salisbury Hotel (New Manchester Hotel) on the left. The hotel has an ornate portico entrance and steps. Beside the hotel are the businesses of 'Davis / Dyer' and 'Wilson's'. On the far right are iron railings and a sign saying 'Spikins'. A woman walks on the right pavement, and there is a child in the road playing with a hoop. More figures in the background.
