- Pencil drawing by Frederick Schultz Smith (1860-1925) of Leicester Street, Hull, looking towards Wellington Lane, about 1881. On the left is a row of houses with iron railings in front. On the right is a wooden fence with trees behind. There are also trees in the middle of the road. Four figures are walking on the right pavement and there is a horse and rider in the road. On the back is a rough sketch of a tree. Leicester Street was developed from the original Leicester Place from about 1867 onwards. The The original Leicester Place is seen here in the background marked by the row of trees in the road. Leicester Street was demolished in the 1980s.
