- Queen Anne Buildings, Salisbury Gardens, drawn by Frederick Schultz Smith (1860-1925), 1883. Work began on the Avenue's (or Westbourne Park Estate) in 1874, and Salisbury Street was one of the first to be built. On the right are some of the Queen Anne style houses, designed by architect George Gilbert Scott junior (1839-1897), for his cousin John Cooper a Hull solictitor and one of the first occupants. Barcombe House and Tower house are visible at the end of the street on the right. The roadway is lined with trees that are in protective railings. There is a fountain in the distance at the end of the street. Ink and wash on paper. Thee drawing is signed and dated in the lower right corner.
