- Photograph of a bedroom in a house on Eliza's Place, Canning Street, Hull, taken in about 1928. The image highlights the run-down condition of much of the poor-quality housing in the area. The end wall is covered with black mould and the wallpaper is peeling and rotten. Despite the unhealthy conditions, the room is occupied and has two metal-framed beds and pictures hanging from a picture rail above.
