The Satinwood Table

Thomas was privately educated in London and then attended Sidcup School of Art and London's Slade School. She left in 1938 to study at the Royal Academy Schools. A member of various groups including the New English Art Club, Thomas painted very traditional and subtle still lifes and landscapes, of which the Ferens' work is a typical example. She exhibited regularly throughout her career, and her work is represented in many public collections, including the Tate Gallery in London.
