(image/jpeg)

The Gossips, Lorraine c.1911 by Henri Blahay (1869-1927) Description This large painting was an early acquisition by the Gallery's founder, T.R. Ferens, in 1913. It has been identified as a priority for the forthcoming Victorian and Edwardian catalogue of the Ferens' collection. Work required There is a significant amount of work required before this work can be displayed, including the repair of a large tear in the canvas, seen on the sleeve of the woman's cream blouse. Estimated conservation cost: £3,395 Catalogue information Accession No: KINCM:2005.4752 Dimensions: 121 x 183cm
