Duelling Pistol by George Wallis Junior, Hull, c.1804

This is called a duelling pistol. However, if this pistol had been used in a duel it would have been regarded as cheating. The barrel has a procedure done to it called 'rifling'. making it more accurate. This pistol was probably only used for target practice. This duelling or target pistol was made by one of best gunsmiths in Hull, George Wallis Junior.
