The Paddle Steamer 'Kingston of Hull' in the Humber Estuary

Thomas Binks was one of a group of painters who worked as ship decorators with the firm of Thomas Meggitt in Hull in the 1840s. This painting shows a sailing vessel, 'The Kingston', in the Humber Estuary with Hedon Church and Paull in the distant background. The ship was used in trade from Hull across the North Sea.
